An Evening at the Paddocks

During our Summer in South France Max and the girls stayed at a beautiful house from the 1920’s. It was surrounded by meadows and one day Yuna discovered some horse stables that belonged to a stud farm not far away. As you can imagine the girls where instantly hooked and so they went to ask the owner if it was possible to visit the horses.

The owners where very nice and humble people and so they invited them to their paddocks.
Max and the models thank them for their hospitality. It was an unforgettable experience.

It was a beautiful sunny evening when they arrived. A mild breeze was rushing through the treetops and the light was just right for some splendid romantic photos. The girls took Lulu and Garfield, the owner’s dog and cat, straight to their hearts and especially Maria and Bilitis showed their talent in communicating with the animals. The horses had blind trust into them and everything was in total harmony.

Girls and horses are a beautiful motive and we think you will agree that Max has once again shown his talent for genuine film photography. We hope you enjoy this new set of photos and the video.

For the video Max chose “Promenade” a song from Francis Lai written for David Hamilton’s film Bilitis

Homage to David

Today is the death anniversary of one of the most controversial photo artists in modern time, David Hamilton.
Possibly also one of the most misunderstood and wrongly accused artists ever. If you want to learn more about all this we invite you to read the Blog of Olivier Mathieu who has the most profound knowledge about David Hamilton. His site also gives you an insight into the art of this true master of light.

To celebrate this day Max has asked us to publish a clip with photos as a homage to David Hamilton. They express Max’s thankfulness to David who helped him a lot to perfect his talent through his critique. Max used to regularly show his pictures to the grand master of light and some of the photos can be seen as exercise pieces of a student honoring the art of his master. All pictures presented in this clip have been picked out of Max’s portfolio by David Hamilton himself and have been rated as very well done.

Max chose “L’heure bleue” from Francis Lai, who also wrote the music for David Hamiltons Film “Bilitis”, to accompany his pictures.

A day at the rivulet

Today Max went out to a small rivulet and a lake together with Emily and Bilitis.
Mother nature delivered some splendid weather and so the trio had a lot of fun with shooting.

Emily and the Wild Meadow

It’s the first time that Max went out for a photo shoot with beautiful Emily.
They took photographies at a rivulet and a jetty at an idyllic little sea.
Bilitis joined in and an impressive set of pictures arose out of this collaboration.
At the end Max took some polaroids of the girls while they where lying in a wild meadow.

Here are two of the polas Max shot. The other films are already on the way to be developed.
Be back soon to see them posted here.
